Dr. Heidi Metheny is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician who has been in practice for over 15 years. She attended Kansas City University and graduated with a degree in Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. She completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City in 2007 and served as Chief Resident. Since then, she has worked as an attending physician at ISMC. She also serves as core faculty at ISMC and is involved in teaching and training emergency medicine residents. She has a passion for education and has co-authored several articles in StatPearls.

Dr. Metheny has been both an item writer and an oral board examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. She takes care of both acute and chronic wounds on a daily basis in the emergency department. Dr. Metheny serves as Chief Medical Officer for On-Site Wounds.
